Informational Topic:

Fire extinguisher, where is it best placed in the vehicle?

The Information You Need:

If you decide to store a fire extinguisher in your vehicle, you should be considerate of the hot temperatures that your vehicle may encounter.  It is understood there is no fire extinguisher that has a Underwriters Laboratories (UL) testing label that declares such to bear any temperature higher than 120°F. So, especially during hot temperatures, a car fire extinguisher should be placed in the coolest part of your vehicle, which would be the trunk of a car.  Ideally, you would also like to secure your fire extinguisher inside the vehicle, even inside the trunk of the vehicle, with a bracket, which usually comes with the fire extinguisher.
