Hey, you're in the vehicle / car zone--YOUR HANDYMAN ZONE!

Cars / Trucks / Vans Category: Heating System

Maintenance Issues:

How to maintain the heater of the vehicle so as to keep it in good working order for the winter.

Tools / Materials (See Below for Applicability):

Guide:

You don't need to wait for your heater to fail on you when you need it the most to start thinking about it.  In fact, the heater should be cared for once in a while during the summer in order to rely on it during the winter.

Specifically, during each of the summer months, the heater should be turned on at least once for 1 to 3 minutes. Through this monthly heater turn-on routine, the fluid thereof will be allowed to circulate around the heating and cooling system so as to keep the heater core clean and promote anti-corrosion of the heating and cooling system overall.
