 Never Stop Improving - White

 Turn 21 today

Hey, you're in the vehicle / car zone--YOUR HANDYMAN ZONE!

Cars / Trucks / Vans Category: Body Appearance

Problem:

White walls of the tires are dirty and in need of cleaning.

Tools / Materials (See Below for Applicability):

  • White wall tire cleaner, like Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or Westley's Bleche-Wite

  • Cloths/rags

  • Bucket of water

Solution:

Over the course of your driving, your vehicle's brakes--when the brake pads physically touch the rotating discs--give off what essentially amounts to brake dust, the black powder coat that covers the white walls of your vehicle's tires.  This, of course, is unsightly, especially for those who like to keep their vehicles in tip-top condition.  Fortunately, there are various white-wall tire cleaner products on the market that are available for purchase at automotive parts stores or online.  Two of them include Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and Westley's Bleche-Wite.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is what it is--an eraser-kind-of-object specially designed to be used to scrub away the black coat off the white walls of the tires.  It is understood to be dipped in water for maximum effect; read the manufacturer's instructions for further details.  The other product, Westley's Bleche-Wite, comes in a spray bottle.  Along with the use of a rag/cloth, once this cleaner is sprayed on, the black coat easily comes off the white walls of the tires, too; read the manufacturer's instructions for further details.

There are various other products out there that serve the same function of cleaning the brake-created black coat off the white walls of your vehicle's tires.  Choose the product best for you.
