Solution: You press down or pull up on the handle of your faucet to start the flow of water only to be disturbed by the annoyance of your faucet (or faucet base) being a bit wobbly, unsecure and otherwise unstable. It obviously needs to be secured, but where and how? All you have to do is use a basin wrench to tighten the (hex) locknut found underneath the sink (usually in the cabinet below) that is there to secure the faucet in place. So, the next time your faucet seems a bit wobbly, unsecure, or otherwise unstable, pay attention to the underlying locknut and use a basin wrench to ensure that it is tightened.
